Riding motorcycles to work can be a fun and efficient way to commute. Not only is it a thrilling mode of transportation, but it also has several practical benefits. I’ve written here in the past about my sister getting her first bike and how nervous I was but since then, I’ve kind of changed my tune.

First, motorcycles are much more fuel efficient than cars, which can save you money on gas and reduce your carbon footprint. They also require less space to park, making them a great option for city dwellers who may struggle to find a spot for their car. In addition to saving money and space, motorcycles also have the potential to save time. Because they are smaller and more agile than cars, motorcycles can often navigate through traffic more easily, allowing you to arrive at your destination faster.

This map shows the cities in the US where the most people drive a motorcycle to work. A lot of riders in Florida and Hawaii, which seems natural with the year round weather and narrow island roads. Hurricane, Utah took me by surprise as being the 5th city on the list with the most motorcycle work commuters. I live in a city that gets a lot of snow so if I were to get a bike my riding would have to be seasonal.

Overall, riding a motorcycle to work can be a fun and convenient option for those who are comfortable with the added risks. It can save you money, time, and space, and add a little excitement to your daily commute. Just be sure to take the necessary precautions to ensure your safety and the safety of those around you.
