Making Banana Pancakes

Is there no better Sunday start than beautiful golden pancakes? I enjoy mine with fruit inside and on top. The first real date I ever had with my husband was at my house for dinner. We had been talking for a while and had a coffee date before we decided he would come over to my house for dinner, something we would cook together as a fun date idea.

I was going to buy one of those meal kits for two that have become popular over the last few years. The ones that give you each ingredient and step by step instructions so even YOU can look like you know how to cook. I needed help in that department because my main go to as a single busy gal was grilled cheese on far too many occasions.

When this man suggested we skip the meal box all together and just make pancakes I sort of already knew he may become my husband. We made banana pancakes and had raspberries, strawberries, whip cream, and maple and chocolate syrups. When he pulled sprinkles out of his bag and started spouting off pancake facts I was hooked.

Did you know the worlds largest pancake weighed 3 tons? Or that cavemen were some of the first humans on earth to cook pancakes? I didn’t but my future husband did.

We still make a big pancake breakfast at least once a week and our last anniversary (7 years) we spent our date night making a pancake dinner and falling in love all over again.
