I love two things very much. Film and automobiles. My dad was always into classic cars and I’ve written about my love of mustangs in the past here. So one of my favorite past times is movie themed nights where you must pick the movie based on its featured automobile.
For example, if you wanted to watch (and this is an easy one) Back to the Future, you would have to describe the DeLorean with great enough detail the rest of the household could guess your car and subsequent movie choice. Now in a movie like Disney’s Cars, you would be allowed to describe any of the adorable cast like Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater or Sally Carrera for example.
This amazing infographic on famous movie cars by the team at titlemax.com is a perfect reference! My husband is a huge fan of Transformers so when it is his pick for movie night I pretty much know he is going to be describing a Yellow Camaro because he is predictable. It’s either that or one of the 28 zillion cars in the Fast and the Furious series.
I prefer to sit down for a family friendly night inspired by the Flying Ford Anglia in Harry Potter, or the funky VW bug from Little Miss Sunshine. And the only real car that I think this list is missing, ‘Eleanor’ the Ford Mustang1967 Shelby GT500 from Gone in 60 seconds. Now that is a beautiful car and the movie is a great trip back to one of my favorite parts of childhood, the early 2000’s.
